A friend of ours worked in a TGA manufacturing plant.
A couple of years ago one of his staff members burned his arm on a red hot pipe.
It appeared to be third degree and could have meant weeks off in recovery.
With active manuka honey on hand, our friend applied it directly to the burn.

The pain quickly diminished and the burn healed itself in record time leaving no scarring.
After sharing this experience with us, we started my own investigation into manuka honey.
We soon discovered that it’s not a mere hype driven product fueled by unsubstantiated claims.
Manuka Honey Cares for Skin in hospitals
The FDA (Food & Drug Administration) in the USA has cleared manuka honey for the treatment of wounds and burns in hospitals. Beyond this, numerous medical papers report that money honey destroys pathogens where other traditional antibiotics are no longer effective.
